We've been having lots of fun--Kain has his fair share of play dates while Austin is in school. His best buddy Louie came over with his mom and sister the other day and they just have so much fun together. I really enjoy hanging out with his mom too-Double bonus & Marie who is just a few months older than Mela's age was sleeping.. so Mela tagged along with the boys. (too cute)!
I've made a decision to leave my job at the Y! I will finish up at the end of this month. I think it will clear up my schedule more. I am very sad to leave my clients, but I won't miss the bosses who tell me I need to "figure it out or show up"-than hang the phone up on me- when my kids are sick or I'm sick or I have a school function that I don't want to miss. It was a big weight taken off my shoulders. I was waiting to hear the good news before talking about it, but I did take a new job with Beach Cities Health District.

I'm so excited. I tried out, had to have music, stand with a microphone box and perform a 55 min. Cardio Circuit class. I was SO nervous since I have not taught a land class in 7 years. (yes, that's how long I've been doing this). It was Awesome. I worked up a sweat and the folks enjoyed it. I got the position and it pays as much as teaching 3 classes in one day at the Y!. I feel like I hit the jackpot!! The best part--the bosses all welcomed me and treated me like a real person--with RESPECT!
I told the Y I will be on as a Sub only, but I will leave it at that. I feel like I'm going to have so much more time to do whenever needs to be done before the after school rush hits. (Eric was happier too).
Mela having fun with the boys.
We just found out our friends, Ali & Shyam (Shyam-who's in the ARMY) is getting deployed in 2 weeks. YES, 2 weeks. Thankfully Ali and the boys aren't leaving just yet, but they do need to move out of their house into an apartment. We've become such good friends and the news was very hard for Ali to take although she knows it could happen at any time. IT was the worst of luck for him too-his name was randomly pulled out of a bucket. He will be gone for at least a year in the Middle East.
Today we invited them to Austin's baseball game to get their mind off things. I think they had fun!
Kain, Spencer and Eli sat out in the outfield. They were having so much fun cheering on Austin and giggling.
Good thing for me I got front row shots of Austin batting and playing the field.
He played so good today. He was catching pop flies in Center field and stopping balls at short stop-threw the ball to 3rd and got the kid out. He was batting great. Had a huge smile on his face the whole game. He was Hi'5ing his team mates-I'm so proud of him. He's really enjoying himself out there...(That's all we wanted)! And it's worth all the practice we go to!
Mela was cheering them on too!
Eric was helping out with positions.
The 3 boys, Spencer, Eli and Kain went on a nature hike.
After the game Ali & Shyam invited us over to play in the hot tub.. They had a BLAST!
MELA......What u talkin about?!!
Have an awesome week!
