Baseball Season-SF Giants #6

First off, let me start by saying it's been so beautiful here the last 5 days.. Sunny, warm, not a cloud in the sky. We've been taking full advantage of it! Mela & Kain love to play around in the front yard together.. doing whatever. Peyten always likes to hang out with us too.

Baseball Season is in full bloom. Practice 8 hrs. a week is totally paying off. Austin is playing for the San Francisco Giants (How Ironic) seeing as Eric travels there now. He is no. 6. He's been playing great as 3rd base and short stop. (although, I'm a little nervous that ball is just going to tip him when he's not paying attention) He stands ready to go. Saturday was a practice game. He caught 2 balls as short stop and threw to 3rd to get the other kid out. I was beyond excited and it really helped his confidence.

He did great at batting. Hit the ball great-out into the outfield as a matter of fact. But the kid caught it and threw him out at first. He walked off the field hanging his head. Instead of being the over-protective mom I just looked over at him from afar. He was clearly upset. But it happens to everyone. Once back out in the field the first kid up to bat hit a ball right at him. He had his glove in place and caught it.. again! BAM, he was back to being back in the game. Once he came back in, I went over to the fence and put my hand through the fence and said, "hi-five" Aus and he did and smiled.

My two little nuggets did great. They played along the outside of the fence. Kain brought his ball and glove and we played catch. Mela had fun running after the ball and snacking on all her snacks.

Once the two littles realized that their was a concession stand clear across the field we headed over for some snow cones. Oh, Mela loved that! She was blue like a smurf all over her face and hands once we left. Kain enjoyed it too, he forehead was all sweaty from the heat so it was a nice treat to cool off to.
Ahhh, to be a kid again!

I'm proud of Austin. He's giving it his all and really enjoying it. On Sundays we have a baseball clinic from 8-10a with Minor league baseball players. They make the drills fun so the kids don't get bored. He's doing really good.

Makes the weekend fly by... that's for sure. Kain's getting excited for his Soccer game tomorrow, although the weather is going to cool down for a bit. I know you don't feel too bad for us seeing as you're all getting hit with SNOW. What's that?!!!!

Make it a good week. And Extra thoughts and prayers for Meme as she get's to go home tomorrow!!!!
