Yup, School's out for Summer, Tomorrow. (FRIDAY). AND I'm off of work for the next 6 weeks. No more schedules, rush to get out the door so Austin can be at school by 8a, I can be at work by 8:30... you get the picture. All we have to worry about now is what we want to do. We have a lot planned. Walks, beach, Parks, pool, Tennis, soccer, Tae Kwon Do. Concerts in the park, Water parks, Sea World, Fireworks at Disney-Oh the possibilities are endless!! I'm just going to enjoy each new day and hope that it doesn't go by too fast.
Like my little lady.. she is growing up way too fast. She crawls, everywhere. If I leave her sight, I hear Austin say, "She's coming for ya." and I see her cute little face pop up with a smile. She claps her hands. Gives us all "high fives" and loves to play, especially with her brothers. She is such a little baby doll.
I told Austin one day, "when Mela cries, sing softly to her." So tonight I was making her a bottle after their baths and I hear her crying.. screaming basically in the front room. So Austin sits next to her on the floor and starts singing her one of his made up songs, very softly. Then Kain jumps in repeating the words Austin is singing. I was trying to make a quick bottle, looked quickly for my phone but I must have left it in the back. I wanted so badly to press a "Record" button to not miss this sweet moment. I stayed in the kitchen a little longer because like I told Austin it would..... it worked and she was just sitting there listening to him touching her hand to his face. and he kept going... with a sweet smile on his face.
He's so sweet like that. And I'm so glad he's listening to my advice!
Austin has been really so good lately and completing all of his chores. (He LOVES to have jobs to do) and takes his "jobs" very seriously. When Eric is out of town I always tell him he's the "Big Man in the house" and has to help out. He really likes this role. So last week Eric told him to get his shoes on he's going to run errands with him. He wasn't thrilled, but went with him. He came home with a black "Razor" scooter. It's super cool and he's kinda been talking about it for a while. Eric said he took him to the store, told the store clerk that's what he wanted and Austin just played it cool with a sweet little smirk on his face..In typical Austin fashion. When he got home he was SO Excited. He came looking for Kain and showed Kain and he was so excited for him. (What a great brother Kain is). Then we decided to give Kain Austin's old razor and he was pretty excited about it. He actually rides it really well!
The handlebars are a little high, but sometimes they get jammed and I couldn't get them down today..
Kain's been having so much fun. He's had lots of playdates and lots of fun while Austin has been away at school. Every morning I take Kain and Mela on a walk in the stroller down to the beach. (great exercise for me)
Kain collect shells and then get's back in the stroller to tell Mela all about them. When we get home we've been collecting them in a big bag. He's very proud of them. Then we usually head to the park to meet some of our little friends.
If Mela is asleep when it's time for TKD, Erica usually picks up Austin and drops off TyTy. This works out great. So Kain and TyTy always get to play together when the big boys are away. Aren't they cute?
Then Mela and I get our alone time. She's so good and just goes with the flow. She is always on the go, but happy to have you sit with her and play. She loves the attention.. :)
