TUesdays with MOM

Today the little boys and I went to the Farmer's Market in Manhattan Beach. It's every Tuesday afternoon and I try to make it there every week to get the great fresh fruit, veggies and flowers. Today was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky!My guy picked these flowers. Out of all the options, we came home with the sunflowers. I like them. They are rather LARGE. But they look great on my table and Austin is very proud that he found these.
It's tradition now, Austin leaves the house with $4. This buys him a fresh squeezed lemon-aid $2 (it's purely water and fresh squeezed lemons, no sugar, nothing) and a kettle corn, popcorn. $2. Once he spends his $4 he helps me sample all the other foods. I try to get Austin to try something new every time. Today, he tried plums. I think he actually liked it because by the time I gave one to Kain and turned back around it was gone. (and I did not see it on the ground) so we came home with a bag of plums. Kain on the other hand wants a taste of everything, salsa, gyros, tomato's, etc.
Oh back to the kettle corn, Austin does not like to share his own bag, so I get Kain a "Sample" bag and he's just as excited to hold it and eat it like Austin does.
After the Farmers Market we headed to the Library. Austin's on a great start to his summer reading...
Kain likes to sit at the little table while Austin sorts through his books. Kain is into the "touch and feel" books right now, but the library did not have a very big selection of these.
As always, a fun day with my boys. Oh, I can't forget the Farmer's market train ride. Yes, we did this too. It's always fun to ride around the shopping district, waving to all the friendly faces eating lunch and shopping outside.
