Mom's Day in Malibu, Ca.

Today was Mom's day and Eric always finds a way to make it special!  Our plans changed a little due to over-cast skies, but he never fails at making me feel so important. I got breakfast in bed from the boys. One brought me coffee, the other brought me toast with Jelly. Mela screamed my name from her crib, "MOMMMMM-MOMMY-MOOOOOOOM". It's music to my ears.  Flowers awaited me at the kitchen table.
I loved my cards they gave me. Thought out so cute from school. Kain thinks I'm 7 years old, That I Like rice, (probably meant sushi)? and I like to go on walks.
Austin thinks I'm 23 (good boy, Austin) and says that I like to do gymnastics. (Maybe he meant aerobics) and that I make him laugh everyday with my jokes. (I'm glad someone likes my humor). They were so thoughtful.
Mela even made me a flower with a poem and her name on it at the gym. I loved it and she was so proud of it. When she gave it to me she kept saying, "mom, Mom" Mom".
They each gave me a tea bag with green tea. So Austin took it upon himself to make it for me. He actually cut the tea bag open and dropped all the tea leaves into water so it was floating all around the top of my Glass.. that's right, not a coffee cup. But he was so excited that he made it for me, It was the thought that counts!

I love them all for keeping me on my toes every single day, for driving me a little crazy, making me laugh, making me smile, making my pantry empty and my target bill high-keeping my nights sleepless and of coarse their silly personalities that are all SO different. They make up my job everyday.  I'm lucky to have it and I like to think that I OWN it! I am honored to do what I do everyday and I honestly wouldn't trade it for the world. I would be bored if I didn't have each of them around!. I was telling them at dinner tonight-that I'm always going to be their MOM! AND Thanks for making me one.

This was the little Diva this morning as we were getting ready.. She was actually happy and DID put these glasses on herself, she just wouldn't smile for the picture. She loves to wear these glasses. Kain took it upon himself to wear this "Head-band" that he got from Bible camp... ALL DAY. So she wanted to wear something on her head for a bit too.
 The pier in Malibu.
The kids saw a dog running into the waves.. they couldn't take their eyes off of her.. Mela was so excited watching this dog.

This morning we went for a walk/bike ride. It was super overcast and chilly... but things changed by mid afternoon while we were in Malibu.
Yup, this is how she ate her lunch.. Sunglasses and all.
This morning the kids just played around the yard and garage as we got the bags packed for the day.

They love to play with their Mario track that Eric set up in the garage.

My boy showered me with kisses all day and kept telling me, "Your day is not over yet.. you have all day!"

 Kain loves this bible camp"head-band"
Mela was telling us about the DOG running into the waves.

We went to this dive along side the road to eat.. The place was packed.. we had to wait at our table for over an hour for our food to arrive, but the kids got buckets of popcorn and were so well behaved. We just talked and laughed at silly Mela goofing around in her booster chair.
We settled back in the car to go home and were stuck in the wonderful LA traffic for almost 2hrs...Mela was happy to be settled back in with her baby doll.
