Halloween Week

It was so nice having Jo here with us this week! (And Eric came home too on Tuesday evening)! Too bad I got sick the day after Jo arrived. The week flew by and I felt like I didn't even get to spend time with anyone!

On Saturday, Jo surprised the boys with Horse back riding lessons. They LOVED it!!! It was so much fun to watch them.
Mela loved waving to the horses and watching from Daddy's arms.

They had to wear cowboy boots and Kain thought that was so cool. He kept saying how he was a "cowboy"... yeah, I can see that!!!
 And helmets!

Kain of coarse went first... Austin offered him up and he was so excited to go.

Austin really enjoyed it.. he was wondering when the horse would go fast.....

Back up a few days........Jo and I went to the Halloween parade at Austin's school. It was fun to see all the kids in their costumes.

After the parade, I went home and thankfully Jo got to stay and help out in Austin's classroom for his classroom party. They carved pumpkins and had pumpkin pie!
That night the kids got all dressed up and Jo and Eric took them trick or treating with their friends. Mela was in the stroller, but half way thru, Mela was being carried and Kain fell asleep in the stroller. It was WAY too much excitment building up to the moment. The kids here have to wait till dusk which is usually around 6:30p.
When they came home, Austin waited for the late night trick or treaters.... He was so excited!
The whole week seemed like a blur to me, but the kids had fun. Jo baked them lots of goodies and home cooked meals and they even went to see "Wreck it Ralph" which I heard was "Awesome", Kain was a little scared though.:)
I am so THANKFUL Jo was here to help, I really don't know what I would have done without her here this past week. Maybe Austin missed his practices, and Kain his soccer, but it was nice that she really got to spend time with them alone..
I am a little bummed I missed out on all the good treats.... their was nothing left by the time I was ready to eat again. :(. (But I guess that is a good thing)! Halloween is the worst holiday for all the sweets.

Tonight I surprised my boys with Playoff tickets to the LA Galaxy. They were all so excited to go! Connor went with them which the boys also were so excited about. Mela and I are at home chilin, She has a little cold and this time change is a killer.... It never seems to work in my favor. Hmmmm...!!!!!
Here's the getting back into the swing of things this week!
