Mela's 1st Birthday!

I'm pretty certain Mela had a great birthday today..Except, I'm sure she missed her dad who is in San Francisco this week. :(. We went to the beach, went shopping, picked up Kain and went for some Gelato. Walked to the park, picked up Austin from school and then eventually headed out to dinner tonight with the boys. I can't forget all the birthday wishes too. She likes listening to the Voice mails we received, some sang to her, some just talked and she smiled at all of them. She enjoyed every minute of it and the boys were so good with her today! Happy Birthday to my little Sunshine!

Mela's 1st Birthday Party 9.23.12

Oh my Mela. My little sunshine. Today on your first birthday you didn't want to take your morning nap. You were full of energy, ready to party.. When we go to the park.. you played a little than fell fast asleep until the party was almost over. You woke up just in time to thank your party guests....

 Everyone who came to your party signed your surf board. Even the kids enjoyed signing their names. Austin left you a special message from himself and Kain. On Tuesday I'm going to take this board and get it sealed so nothing will ever happen to it. 

 My good friend, Jaime held Mela in her arms until she fell fast asleep. 

 The boys all had fun.

 Everyone set up blankets to eat and chat

 Your little friend Karolina let us borrow her stroller where you stayed asleep for at least 2 + hours. 

 Once Karolina left we took you out of the stroller and passed you around.. you still stayed asleep. 

 The kids started a soccer game

 When we came home our friend Jaime took our only family picture. ... 

 What a crazy bunch.. Yes.. That is Kain under my leg....

 And we gave you your "Smash Cupcake" to enjoy with us. Austin wanted you to smash it into your face so bad... but you didn't. You sure enjoyed the frosting... (That's my girl!)

Did you think we wouldn't catch this on video? Who cares if not all our friends got to be right in front of her to watch.. We did. And that was just as fun!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MELA! Can't believe you are 1.
