What is up with this weather?

Last week -Monday, LA hit a record high, 113 degrees (107 in Redondo Beach) Today, just one week later, 62 and rain. They say this is "Not Normal" at all.... but sometimes I think we get more creative when it's crummy outside. Today it rained, cleared, rain, cleared. Austin kept asking me, "What is this rain-"! (it never rains in CA).Like big brother, like little brother. The boys BOTH pack their back-pacs to bring to my work. Kain loves to carry Austin's little back-pac. It's just his size! Austin's... well he had to have this one!

So today was a busy day. While Austin was at school, Kain and I had a playgroup at "Under the Sea". It's an indoor playground. I don't think Kain has ever been to an "indoor playground" ........He had a blast! When we left he got to pick out of a prize bucket and he choose 2 stickers and two rings. When we picked Austin up from school, he made sure to give him one of each. It was the sweetest thing---but that's just my Kain! (Hope he always stays this way).. Austin had a playdate after school with his buddy, Dylan. They had fun playing in Austin's tent. When Dylan left-it was still raining, so we decided to bring out the play-doh. Who would of thought Play-doh? I made Lasagna, cleaned the toy room, kitchen and bedrooms... this stuff is hours of fun. An hour and 1/2 of fun! By 6pm, they were starving for dinner and did not make a peep but eat. I think I received the "Mom of the Year" award tonight!
Kain made an ice-cream cone as was very proud of it!

What a day! Not sure what the week holds weather wise, but I'll be bringing out more play-doh if all else fails!!!
