Getting back into the swing of things!

It was exactly 3:50pm and this is what the sky looked like. I can't complain because the weather here is great. But we started off Sunny, by lunchtime it was sunny and warm, by the time soccer was over, we had our windows down and sunroof open and when we returned home after errands we ended up at a park. But, by 3:50 it was misting in the air and the temps had dropped 13 degrees. Time to grab a sweatshirt. They call this the Santa Anna winds stirring in. You think it's going to pour down rain in a matter of seconds, but it never does!I'm so proud of Austin. A new soccer league started today and not knowing anyone or the field he played on, he ran out there like a champ and scored TWO goals! (just like he was a natural at it). He is pretty good-I have to give him credit (and not just because he is my kid!)
Austin just loves his new bike and I can't help but leave it out so it's all ready to go in our early mornings. It's preferred over cartoons these days. I think it's because he has a "hot wheels" game and he is able to choose the car he's driving. Kain get's just as much excitement by watching him, but as soon as Austin leaves the room, he looks both ways and CRAWLS as fast as he can over to the bike to check it out! It's so cute.
Austin is so excited to be back playing with his best bud, Logan. Not only do they go to school together, but Logan and his mom, Jaimie come over after school on Wednesdays to play.
The cutest thing ever was (this past Wednesday) When Logan was on (Kain's toy) Kain was on his new Rody and Austin was on his bike. Then ... they switch. Well, Kain get's the short end of the deal and remains on the Rody, but he likes it. He thinks he's "Playing with the boys". so he's happy!
This is how our mornings have been going. Get up, get dressed, run downstairs to get on the bike. So Kain doesn't feel left out we pulled his toy over so he thinks he is "Playing" with Austin.
Our breakfast has moved from Kain at the counter, Austin on the bench to Kain at the table (we figured out how to move his high chair to fit the table) to Austin asking to sit right next to him in the chair. Austin even offers him food. (waffles) in small pieces. Austin obviously does not take after Eric if he's offering his food to Kain. Kain loves the attention from Austin!!!
And usually the cereal get's spread all over the table or dropped on the floor for Peyten to eat!
On Tuesday our boxes finally arrived from Chicago. Just when I thought we were heading out the door to go to the park, the mailman came to ring our doorbell. We stood in the doorway like 3 kids waiting on Christmas as the mailman carried all 7 boxes in our house. It was pretty funny. Austin was jumping up and down. Lucky me I opened all the boxes and distributed all the gifts like it was Christmas all over again, minus the wrapping paper. Then I put all the toys together. Needless to say, we never made it to the park.
This is how it looked. My house was quite calm while I cleaned everything up, put away the new things, etc. Austin played with his toys, Kain played with his. I had to get a picture b/c I knew no one would believe me. They were so entertained and so happy to have the new toys. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!
Too Cute for words. Kain fell fast asleep like this on me and I transferred him to the couch (not knowing if he would stay asleep) and Austin decided to lay down on top of him. I was a little nervous about the situation, but they slept for close to an hour just like this. I couldn't dare leave the room because I did not know how long it would last, but it did and they were just so cute! Kain was Austin's pillow. Go figure!
