It's official. School is back in! AND Soccer has STARTED!

On Thursday night it's a community event... the school list is posted after 5p. All the parents and kids RUSH over to the school to see what teacher they have and who's in their class.. Lucky for me. I didn't have to RUSH. WE had TKD, then I came home, made dinner. Ate dinner.. ... Then headed over. It was SO less crowded and Austin was just as excited and had a lot more energy to check out his new classroom. He got a good teacher.. so I've heard. He's got some friends in class that he was pretty excited about. We checked out his classroom from the glass tinted window and he left that night feeling pretty stoked for the next day!

So It's Friday and Austin is on a roll. He was calm, cool and collective more so than I've ever seen him.. He's officially a 2nd graded and ready to Rock this YEAR!! (Fingers crossed for a fantastic year ahead for him). 

 Austin and His buddies ... they all found eachother once we arrived at school. 

 Saturday is the start of AYSOccer for both KAIN (1st year) and Austin U8 League in Manhattan Beach. Austin was drafted on Coach Al's team and was in the 3rd seed. He was originally chosen to another coach, but somehow Coach Al stole him back. This will be our 3rd year with Coach AL. 
Kain is playing in Redondo Beach and his Coach Danny has no experience whatsoever! But... Kain is pretty confident with us yelling on the sidelines what to do. :)

Mela is enjoying watching them. Today was Kain's 1st game. He scored 4 goals and his team won 5-3. He was pretty excited and felt really good after the game. He was proud of himself. He really hustled and Austin was out there helping the coach. Afterall.... Kain is so good because he's been watching Austin play for so long... AND they play pretty hard in the front yard. 
We took them to RUBY's on the Pier for Milkshakes afterwards then walked the pier in Redondo Beach!

 I don't know..... just something about this little girl cracks me up.. she has her own little style and her own ways.... She is my Free Spirit!

Tomorrow is Austin's first game and the start of AWANA........Things are getting BUSY!

School is Starting

It's been a fun summer.. I don't think anyone is complaining...... BUT... the weather is just starting to get HOT and without air condition it just can get really really hot and sticky in here. 

Kain started up pre-school again today. He was pretty excited. Walked in with a lot of confidence even though he knew his Best Friend Lou wasn't in his class. We stayed and watched him sit down with his new friends to play legos and everything seemed great. Once we turned around to walk away Mela started screaming and crying.. "KAIN KAIN, NO KAIN, COME HOME. KAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN" all the way to the car. And when we got to the car Austin says, "ok, Mela that was embarrassing!" let's go get donuts. And next thing you knew all was fine in her world and we stopped at the donut shop for donuts. We all missed Kain and was happy to welcome him back to us at noon today. 

 I took the kids to lunch today at during lunch Kain was telling us about his day. His favorite part was playing with Legos. When I asked him if he wanted to try again on Friday he gladly responded yes... So I'm hopeful that all good things go great for him this year.! (Last year of pre-school). 

 Oh and I forgot to post about Austin going to test for his Brown Belt on Friday. He's just 4 away from getting his black belt. We are so proud of him!

Friday starts school for Austin..... let's hope all goes just as well.!!

Yesterday I took them for one last surprise at Sky Zone... They had a blast. check it out!
