1st Day of Summer

What a way to bring in the 1st day of summer but enjoy the fountains in PV. We had so much fun. Our friend Cosmo came out to meet us and we ended up staying WAY longer than planned and had an extra stop at the ice cream shop.

Hope you all enjoyed your 1st day of summer as much as these 3 boys did.. Ahh, to be a KID again!

Father's Day

Well, we just got word that we get the keys to our new house on Friday!!! We are all so excited even though we won't be moving in quite yet....

But we did get Eric a couple adirondack chairs and a love seat for our front porch. The boys just couldn't wait till we get to the new house to put them together, so they decided to build them and add to the clutter we already have to sort through.
The boys were so excited to help out. All the neighbors have these chairs and now we finally have a front porch to put them on...

The chair putting together only lasted so long and out came the toys.... Which was fine, then Eric and I got to sit in them and enjoy the view from our garage. They are quite comfortable!

Jaime likes to drive Austin's car. We put in on the slow speed for him to drive around in it. His mom had to run after him.
Austin is doing so good on his bike. He even can get started on his own..No more of us pushing him to start!
Kain was practicing too, but he tends to give up a little more quickly b/c he can't keep up with Austin going so fast around him.
2 chairs, a table and a love seat. (that we will put together at the new house)! So when we go to the new house at the end of the week we will at least have furniture on the porch.. LOL.

These boys sure love their dad! What can I say, we are all lucky!

karate

Austin is in Karate @ the Y.. He likes it.. the Master is VERY strict, but he listens very well and does everything he is supposed to do. He's also learning to count in Japanese. (to 10)
Kain has fun mimicking the moves, but the other day, he was playing with his car and rolled it all the way over by the kids. I thought the Master was going to kick us out of class. So we stepped outside and Kain continue to play
Kain can't start Karate until he is 3, but I think I might try to sneak him in.

Am I dreaming?

Kain got his new comforter in the mail today (to match Austin's). So we made up the bottom bunk. I thought I would just set it up before the move, but Austin BEGGED me to let Kain sleep in his room. I don't know, maybe I just got lucky. But it's 7:42p here... and this is what the room looks like. Could this be the end to my sleepless nights... (well for the next 15 weeks) or am I just dreaming?

Hopefully I make it into work without dark circles tomorrow..... Here's to a good night sleep. Keep your fingers crossed really tight for me.

If this works, I'm ready to pack up the crib for the new house! :)

Today we surprised the boys and took them to the San Diego Zoo. It was amazing! Lots of trails, animals to see and FUN!

Let the sun Shine down!

Today was Austin's closing day for TABB Baseball. It was a very exciting day, the boys all got trophy's and a new Yearbook of all the memories. Austin loves his Coach Darrin. He is super nice and super patient with all the boys. We now retire White Sox Jersey No.9....let's see what team we will make next year!Add another one to Austin's collection. (I think Eric is going to have to make a shelf in his new room to hold all his awards)!

Friday we actually had a play date at Justin and Tyler's house (Coach Darrin's house) the mom Julie and I are friends from the gym.
Kain is obsessed.. I mean obsessed with Shamu. He played in the water table forever with "Shamu"
It was a beautiful day for the slip n slide. Boy they sure have the yard for it.. and the batting cages.
I brought over some water guns for the boys to play with... Kain loved his!

So far... fun weekend! They say June is called "June Gloom" here in LA, but so far.. the sun has been shining every day.. let's hope it keeps up! We've been lucky!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a good weekend. Finally feel like we are getting things accomplished before the big move. We purchased a new set of bunk beds (white, with Capt'n drawers) and a HUGE ladder as Austin would like to say. It takes about 6 weeks to arrive so it should be there just in time! And we found a new pull out sofa and possibly a kitchen table. But we have to wait to purchase these until we have the keys to the new house so we can pick it up and bring it right over.

Besides our furniture shopping..........we had some fun too. (although I must say, the boys really enjoyed trying out EVERYTHING in the furniture stores....)

We had a fun with our friends at the Hermosa Beach Fair on Monday. Thomas and Anna are friends of ours. Their Dad and Eric work together at EA. They moved here from London. Such a cool family!

Having lunch. It was so packed, we decided to stop looking for a table and just sat the kids down to eat. Everyone was just as happy!

And the best part of all... Gelato!
Let's just say the Fair really wore Kain out.
