Sunday in Pasadena Ca

Today we headed out to Pasadena, Ca. Home of the Rose Bowl. We had a lot of fun touring the auto show-we went to lunch at this little hole in the wall "hamburger joint" and even stopped at a few shops along the way.
ROSCOE'S-- famous for it's Chicken and Waffles. (That's all they sell) A local famous joint-"Snoop Dog's" Favorite as he mentions it in one of his songs.. oh yeah-I'm sure it's really healthy too! All that fried food.
Austin and Kain in the car are so cute.
Austin: "Ahhh, Man, Kain."... Kain: "just hold my hand!"
What'up
The famous Bridge off of Colorado Rd.
Beautiful church along the way
Here we go again. Brother love. This is what happens when we ask Austin to watch his brother.
The local Bar we stopped at for a drink. (just kidding) we don't take our children into bars. This bar was in an alley way. (pretty cool)
I think Austin spotted one he's got his eye on.
Eric wishes.....
Home of the Wrigley "Gum" Family. The Wrigley Mansion. Really, GUM? I should of thought of that one!
Also the Tournament of Roses HQ. It was BEAUTIFUL.
The Famous "ELLIS ST". Beautiful old homes lined this street. All the streets are lined with Palm trees. It's so pretty!
Ok, this is way too cute. Kain's FAVORITE SONG........

Balboa Island-CA

Today we met our friends, Jen, Jeff and Kailey (From Chicago) at Balboa Pier. It was amazing. So pretty, so much going on. Great company. The kids all had fun. Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
Kailey and Austin playing frisbee.
on the pier
HUGE WAVE
The crew, minus Jen and myself. Dale, Jeff, Eric, Austin and Kailey.
Kain LOVES to play in the sand. A giant sandbox? What kid wouldn't love this! (Even if he is playing with Kailey's princess toys)
My little beach bum
Oh, they are just getting started....
Kailey and Austin are practicing to surf. Surf school doesn't start until age 5 in California. I wonder if we will sign up?
My boys....
Wonder who's having the most fun here?
I'm thinking they see/hear an airplane.
Austin loves the ocean.
down on the boardwalk
our sweet beach rides
on the Pier
Austin checking out all the boats . It is so pretty down here!
This Amazing candy shop. Of coarse we all got to pick something out. Austin chose Candy Lips, Remember those? Eric-Mamba, Kain-red shoe-string Licorice. (he just liked to hold the bag) Me. I got to try everyone's! :)
Every pier has a Ferris Wheel except this one was $3/per person and a 5 min. ride. Eric, Austin and Kain went on this, I'm taking the pictures
walking along the boardwalk
The Ferry that goes to the other side.
we were going to take the boys over, but the line was so long. Have you ever been on a Ferry? It takes you and your car over to the other side.. on a boat. Can you imagine what Austin was saying when he saw this?

Such a fun day with great friends. !

Mother's Day 2010 in Santa Monica

Mother's Day was so much fun today in Santa Monica, Ca. I am one lucky mom, Man I love my boys-- all 3 of them!!!!!
Austin was slightly frightened as we were sitting on the Ferris Wheel. We stopped right above the Pacific Ocean. It was SO WINDY and Chilly. Austin said, "My knees are cold"Kain was excited, but did not want to sit. He wanted to jump around.
Blue skies, beautiful day!Back to the Pier in Santa Monica, although the boys did not win anything, they did have fun trying!
Austin did this all by himself. THREE times!
Bumper Cars!
Both boys got to ride in these pirate trucks. I had to sit on the back because Kain was too little to ride with just his brother. Check out that view!
My boys.. giving me a ride.

Mom's Day @ School

What a nice surprise this morning as we arrived at the school. Wait till you see what the kids had planned for all the Mom's. (Even Kain got in on the action)

Before we went back to school at 10am for the program, a few of us went to have coffee at the Starbucks. The boys loved throwing coins in the fountain!

Gosh I love this kid!! I'm the luckiest mom in the world!

Kain LOVES the attention. Love this kid too! Isn't he cute. Maybe he'll be doing commercials soon--the camera doesn't seem to bother him!

So I came home with a framed picture and a card in Austin's own words. The card reads:
My Mommy is 24 yrs. old (thataboy!)
My Mommy looks prettiest when she's sleeping
My mommy likes to bake me cookies
My mommy always says I love you forever and ever
My mommy like to shop at the toy store
My mommy likes to watch the news
my mommy and I like to eat popsicles together
I love my mommy because she buys me things.
Happy Mother's Day. I love you

California's got talent...

Random moments caught on tape are priceless. I was lucky enough to catch this one and I think my little boy has talent.! ? Austin in the background-talking about the pitcher and the catcher-you'll hear him in a minute.

BTW-Kain came up with his own attire this evening. Austin's watch and no shirt because he decided to spit his applesauce all over himself. (somehow, I think he knew what he was doing!)

Well, I'm pretty crazy about these boys and I think they know it! Happy Mother's Day weekend to everyone!

Celine Dion says. "I think that children are holding the secret of life. When you’re around children, they are everything."
