Memorial Day!

We had so much fun today. We headed out to the Memorial Day Fair in Hermosa Beach. It was the nicest day of the weekend, not a cloud in the sky!

 When we came home everyone must have been tired... because my house was pretty quiet. 

 Oh and Mela finally got her surf board with her name on it for her door. 

 Then we grilled out hamburgers, brats, chicken and hotdogs. At the end of the night we finished with 3 games of ZINGO!

Austin's last Soccer game

This was a really fun soccer program. I could actually see Austin progressing....he's got skills. I love watching him play. AND he did a great job of getting right up if he fell on the field. Maybe he was a little bit of a ball hog.. but at least he was out there playing and being aggressive. He's for sure out there to win!

 Kain loved playing with his new friend Sawyer. They played in a league on Fridays. It's also over. We missed the last game because it was during Austin's mom's day brunch. Wish I could have been in both places..but Kain too ended his season well and walked away with his new buddy that we have park playdates with in place of the soccer program!

 Mela loved playing on her blanket on the sidelines. She got a lot of attention from all the parents so she of coarse loved that too!

We might play on one more team this summer before AYSO starts in the Fall. I hope to keep Austin's momentum going strong. :)

Little bit of this.. little bit of that!

Eric has been out of town all week and somehow the boys figure out that their is extra room in my bed. So I made them a deal if they stayed in their beds all night I would make muffins in the morning... It worked, but everyone decided to be up bright and early...."Can we go make the muffins now"

for the first time ever... someone at work told me I looked tired today. Not from the kids.. probably from all the classes I've been teaching lately. Ha Ha. Guess Mela and I better step up our make up routine in the morning! 

 While we waited for our muffins to cook, Austin worked on his Math homework. He loves math!

 Kain did great with his Allergy testing. He's a champ! Good news: No Mold allergy. Bad news, allergic to dogs, cats, trees, grass, weeds. Pretty much he has allergies for every season. More good news.. he's actually doing really good. As for Peyten, we are keeping her :), but we are just not letting her in the boys room.

 This morning I braided Mela's hair. (First of many I'm sure). It stayed in pretty much all day. It was so cute!

 We had a great anniversary. (MAY 22nd). 

 Boys will be boys....

 Austin graduated from his AWANA program on Sunday. He still loves it.. he's already asking, "how many more days till I start up again?". He again did great and learned all of his bible verses!

 Kain will hopefully be in the club next year!

 Never thought I would hear these words, "MOM, hurry go grab your camera and take some pics of us". These two love to play together. Today, Austin tried to pull one over on me and tell me that he was too sick for school. My normal response is, "Well, then you're going to have to come to work with me." Of coarse when I said that today he was BEGGING to go with me to work. (All because he knew Kain was coming with me). once I Finally convinced him that school it is-he said, "Make sure you bring Kain to pick me up from school". Umm... when have I not? 

 And when Austin is not around.. these two can always be found together.. Kain loves to play! He has a wild imagination and I love hearing him talk. I hope he always has this!
