Kain's 2nd Birthday Party @ Soccer City

We all had such a blast at Kain's 2nd Birthday party!! Austin was so cute. He was the ring leader. When it was water break, Austin would yell, "Come on kids, water break, this way". When it was time for pizza, he would yell, "Kids, time to eat pizza-find your seats" and when the goody bags came out, he yelled, "Come and get your goody bags, as long as I get one too". gotta love the Big brother! I know Kain sure does!

Kain loved to see his cake, but did not like all the yelling and screaming of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". he was a little upset, but wanted so bad to blow out his candles.
Hysterical at this point.
Kain did not want the pizza, only the cake. And this is where he stood until we got it all ready to be moved over in front of him. "Cake, Cake" that's all he wanted.

Kain had to have this Birthday hat, but somehow it did not come home with us...

Part I: Kain's Birthday Part II: Mark & Lisa's Wedding

I'd Say Kain had a fun birthday on Wednesday! We waited until dad got home to open presents. beforehand we had made pizza's for dinner and special cupcakes that the boys picked out.

Austin got Kain a baseball and glove. Kain sleeps with it, takes it in the car, sits with it at the kitchen table. I think Austin did good. He knew Exactly what his brother wanted. :) Now we are all set for T-ball practice!

We kept the gifts upstairs so the boys all carried them down.
Ahh.. the cupcakes. Yes, Austin wanted a candle in his too. (a little practice before his birthday) so he says.
Suzy Cakes never fails.... YUM! Red Velvet, Coconut, Chocolate peanut-butter (Austin's) and Vanilla.
At Suzy's, the boys picked out small little cupcakes as a snack. I'm pretty sure they approved because they were both eaten up once I was done paying.
Birthday morning I made Kain his favorite Cinnamon rolls. We put candles it in and sang to him.
Look at the little lip. He did not want to eat the one with the candles in it, he wanted a fresh one. Hey-whatever the Birthday boy wants, I'm not going to argue with that!
Onto Lisa & Mark's wedding. The boys did so good on the airplane. I was so proud of them. They watched movies and enjoyed all the snacks that Southwest offers. Wow, they really cater to the kids. It was so nice!
Austin watching his movie

The Wedding Party!
Me and my little man.
OMG, Austin was such a little stud. He did so well in the wedding. It's like he was born for this job.. Who's next... who wants to get married? Austin will take care of it!!
This is probably the only picture I have with Austin for the day. Thankfully Kim brought her camera. What would we do without her?!!!!!
Here we are.
It was a really fun wedding.. AND finally, Lisa is married!!!

Try and keep up with us... we dare you!

Boy, we've been busy.. nothing like packing it all into a weekend! Seriously!

I'd say today was the craziest. (Thank goodness I found a sub for work) so I wasn't running to do that on top of all the rest.
We left the house at 7:30a this morning for Soccer Sunday. Headed to the coaches house for a end of Soccer party following the games and headed out to DISNEY. It was about 5p and we asked Austin if he wanted to go on another ride or try to make it to AWANA. He chose Awana. We hurried and he made it, only about 20 min. late. Tonight was a big Valentine's night. He learned his verses in the car on the way there.. and we were good to go! So proud of him for really dedicating himself to this group. When I brought him in his classroom, I told the teacher, "sorry we are late" and Austin chimes in, "Yah, it is my Dad's birthday, ugh" The way he said it was much funnier than how it reads.

Regardless, where should I start? I might be a little all over the place, so please stay with me! Try and keep up with us.

Austin had a field trip on Wed. to the POST OFFICE with his class. He loved it! He mailed a Valentine, got to see how, where, what, happens to "mail" he told me all about it and I think he knows more about the post office than I do! Seriously, If I need to know anything, I just ask him!
His "Valentine" came on Thursday afternoon. He was SO EXCITED!!!
He could hardly wait to open it.
Here it is. He wrote his name and drew a picture and added stickers. It's hard to see here, but it's pretty cool!!
Saturday we got a package at the door and it was from Ganga & PaPa.
Lots of candy (for everyone) Like how Eric is dust busting the "Crumbs" as the boys dig in.
And New Kites and new books.
Tonight (Sunday) at Awana, Austin came home with this cute little Valentine. It reads, "WANTED, you as my VALENTINE". Isn't it so cute!
Today (Sunday)Austin has his last Sand and Surf Soccer game. You know, the one we've had every Sunday for the last 3 months from 8a-10a. It is almost bittersweet thinking of the 'extra' time we will have on Sundays.. (just kidding) but the boys all received medals and then we headed over to the coaches house for bagels and donuts to celebrate! He has the BEST coach in the World. We love this family!
We left the party a little later and started on our way to DISNEYLAND (for Eric's Birthday).
This was the sun setting on our way home..
So surreal, right?
Of coarse we all had a blast celebrating with Eric. Eric got a special "It's my BIRTHDAY" pin from Disney that he had to wear. He got a lot of "HAPPY BIRTHDAYS" from everyone around the park today.
We headed over to California Adventure. Austin couldn't wait to get into, "A Bug's Life"
Yah, after that 3-D 10 min. movie, he was not having it.. We went on 2 rids and headed back over to Disney. It was hyped up so much.... but wasn't really anything to talk about. Like our 3-D glasses? Kain is hiding his head in my arm... the sound effects sounded so real......It was kinda scary! Bugs, YUCK!

We saw a few characters....
And Kain finally feel asleep. so much walking today!
Basketball Saturdays... (No. 52). only one more game before this season is over too.
Rewind to Friday.. Friday we had a playdate with our friends, Logan and Lincoln. We went to Veteran's Park right on the beach.
Austin and Logan always have fun together!
This is the view from the park. Amazing, right?
And Finally, the boys and I made an Executive decision. We decided to celebrate Dad's birthday on Friday evening since we knew our weekend was so packed. Of coarse they helped me make a cake..or ummm, try out the batter.
Dad was totally surprised when he got home from work! He opened presents, we had a special dinner prepared and we sang and had cake.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC!!!!!!!!
Eric and I celebrated last night with our friends, Raquel & Travis. We went to the Portofino Boat & Yacht Club. It was great.! Great food, drinks, a live band and great company. (sorry no photo) forgot the camera.

Now onto a new week. New happenings. New playdates, new activities! Oh, and our trip to Chicago.. Crossing my fingers for warm(er) weather!! :)

Have a great week!!!!
