Busy, Busy, Busy

Alright.. so here he is! Austin's t-ball team: THE WHITE SOX. Complete from head to toe in the gear. (Still waiting on his hat) we got his name put on the back of it. N0.9. He's SOO Excited to play T-ball. What kid wouldn't want new shoes, belt, socks, pants, glove, bat, bat bag, jersey, practice jersey, practice pants, Batting helmet and of coarse a bag. ALL TO PLAY T-BALL. 1st practice starts Tuesday @ 4:15.
Kain got new shoes today too. His 1st official pair of "VANS" but they are the official, "Yo Gabba Gabba" brand, Muno-this is a Yo Gabba Gabba character. Ok, so yes, he went to bed with them tonight gripped tightly in his hands.
Austin was fitted for his tux today. He may not look it, but he was very excited! Here he is getting fitted. He's going to be in the full ensemble. Vest, tie, jacket, etc. His tux costs more than my dress to rent. NO JOKE! But he sure looks so handsome!
Friday afternoon Eric came home early and we headed to Disney to meet up with our Friend, Zack and his mom. They are our friends from Soccer. Really nice family. (his dad was Austin's soccer coach that made the video for all the kids when the season was over).
Everyone had a blast. It was really cool to be there at night to go on all the rides.
3 little guys...
We packed PB&J for dinner.
The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was really cool! Even Kain enjoyed it!

Fun weekend, but we are all worn out...

Another day with my brother

"Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero"
Austin and Kain are becoming quite the pair lately! Yesterday we went to the park to kick around the soccer ball in the open field. Ended up on the playground where I watched the boys play "Spaceship" together in the stairwell of the slide. Then we headed over to a baseball practice at the fields kitty corner to the park.

Just another one of those days! Beautiful, peaceful and full of fun.Although we didn't quite make it to the fields, the boys found some rocks they could throw.

And it was just as fun as watching the game.
Has anyone seen any fun waiting to happen?

Right by my gym, is this nice outdoor mall. Everytime we drive by it Kain says something and then he touches his pockets. I think I figured out exactly what he needed:
After he threw (ALL) 5 pennies I gave him, he gave me a big smile and said, "For Daddy" so I took this picture and sent it to Eric. I told him Kain made a wish for him.!

Hope all your wishes come true this weekend!

Remember the days...

Today was another beautiful day.....This was actually on our way home this evening from the park, but I had to stop and pull over and snap this photo as the mountains were so clear and beautiful!Remember the days when we had no cares in the world, but to play, ride our bikes and have fun in the park until it was time to go home for dinner? That's what this reminded me of. The boys parked their bikes and ran off to the park....

Today I thought since our playdate was cancelled (due to another little boy being sick) that I would take the boys to this park in Torrance, Ca. They have a track that you can either walk, run or ride your bike on. That's just what we did.
Austin has been telling me that he is afraid to ride his bike. (I think because it's bigger and heavier than his old bike)Which had me worried since that's all he's done is ride his bike. He said it's because the sidewalks are too small. Which he's right.. they are tight around here. So this was the perfect fix.

He got over his fear today and I think I left with a very confident little boy!
Then we hit the park.
They LOVE to play at parks. It basically consists of what we do everyday!

Austin loves going down the "Fireman's" pole. (That's what he likes to call it)

And play on the monkey bars
PS., I have a few video's but for some reason You TUBE is down tonight. :(

Busy, Busy!

We are all feeling back to normal, Thank Goodness! What an amazingly beautiful weekend. Wow, we sure have been lucky. It's was a little rocky with the weeks of rain we started out with, but we are sure making up for it now. 78 degrees all weekend. In fact, when I left work today at Noon, my car read 83. It's been so beautiful! So glad the boys are better so we can enjoy it.
Sunday soccer is always fun. We love to watch Austin play. He really get's right out there and shows those boys how it's done. (for 2 hours)!
Today in skills training he learned a new skill. It was called "scissors". (which means stepping over the ball with his feet) kinda hard to explain, but he nailed it!
Eric giving him a little pep talk before the game. Only 4 players showed up today from his team, which is what they need to play.. looks like a lot of the kids are sick with the "cough" like Austin had. So he played almost the entire game until a 5th kid showed up to give each of the 4 a little time out.
Getting ready
to score!
Kain also stays entertained with his etch-a-sketch. When he's not kicking his little soccer ball around on the fields next to us.
Saturday Basketball. (Austin is #52)
HA HA, Eric was the Referee for the game.
Austin running down the court
Kain running across the court. He's so funny, he does this during the game (when the kids are on one side). It makes me laugh, It's like he's the chicken who crossed the road, but he always makes it.
Austin has the ball, he shoots,
And scores!
#52. He's so cute!
Little Kook-a-Roo. He loves to play in his crib. No joke. He loves to have his cars in there and books, listening to his music and he will sit there on his "KAIN" stool and just play.
Today, the BEARS Game. I could not stand sitting inside watching them... well, you know what happened! So I took the little boys to the park. I think we stayed the length of the game so Eric could yell or do whatever while watching it.

Enjoy your week!

And.. We're back

Well, we had some problems with the ol' camera, but now we are back on track.. although these pictures aren't very clear, from here on out we should be a-OK!
Austin's SAND & SURF Soccer program is every Sunday (for the next 3 months) from 8-10 am. He does drills for an hour and then his game. He loves every minute of it and is learning so much! This was last Sunday-as this Sunday he is resting and trying to recover from his pneumonia. Fingers crossed our Austin feels better for next week's games.
You gotta know something is wrong when he says he does not want to play his sports. (yesterday's basketball and today's soccer)!

Dad giving Zack and Austin a pep talk.
And.. that's a goal!
We can't forget our littlest soccer star. Kain waves his hands up in the air and yells, "G O A L"! If he's not sitting on the side lines coloring in his coloring book.
Kain and I had an amazing playdate at the beach on Friday with his little kid playgroup. We always have fun! It was beautiful, Sunny skies, 77 degrees. (JAN. 14th)
Kain's sweet little girlfriend, Sophia.
Kain is walking underneath the Pier in Hermosa. Isn't this a cool shot? (Palos Verdes) is in the background, see the mountain?
All excited to see all the sand toys again!
Just look at that beach. Wide open spaces for the kiddos to run free
Kain was so excited to get his bare feet in the sand. Its been hard to get him to wear his shoes all weekend.

Can't tell by the picture, but Kain is sliding down a sand hill. They build sand hills in the "winter" time here-more specifically because of all the rain.
Here's the hill.. all the way up, all the way down.
Just taking it all in!
I love our Friday play groups! Especially at the BEACH in January!
Hope you all have a wonderful week. Fingers crossed that our Austin returns back to normal soon. !!!
