V A C A T I O N

We had a Fabulous time on our getaway to Santa Barbara! Everyone had such a fun time and we created lots of memories.... Poor Kain fell over his own two feet on day 2 of our trip (on our back patio) and he scrapped his little nose, lip and cheek. He's ok, such a little trooper. Austin and Kain both had their bikes along. Austin loved riding on the wide sidewalks and downtown area. We were all sad to be leaving.. tomorrow we go back to our normal schedules, work, gym, school.. but we have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks!

So we can go on V A C A T I O N!!!! Geesh, getting ready for our vacation today was a "vacation" in itself! The boys helped me pack (in their own way)

Playdates & Dinner outside

Today was a lot of fun... we had a play date with a bunch of playmates from Austin's school. Went over to Amy's later to play on her slip N slide and had friends over after that!

Austin's friends, Hannah and Hailey have a nice pool and hot tub in their backyard. Hailey goes to school with Austin, Hannah is her younger sister. Dylan and Austin are in school together too and Kyle his brother is 6 years old. They also had other friends join us today. Channel, Portia and Iszak. Although not many of the kids played in the pool, they sure enjoyed the HOT TUB.

They were the two who played in the hot tub (92 degrees) on an 85 degree day for the entire playdate (3 hrs) no joke!

Day 3-and we're off...on our own

Like every day--today after school while Kain was napping, we decided to learn a new trick:

Kain is 18 months!! Weighing in at 22 lbs and 32 in. long. The Dr. tells me he's going to be tall and skinny-What What?? Go Kain!

Day II-Circles

Those of you trying to reach me... sorry, we've been busy.. they say practice makes perfect, Austin doesn't need much practice! Kain is a rock star with his grocery cart too I might add.

And by the way, Austin is just fine..........

This morning we went to the gym-came home rode our bike, ate lunch, rode our bike. went to the pool, came home, rode our bike, came in for dinner/bath and right to bed. we were wiped out!

No more training wheels

Look at this big guy... one day he's not wanting to ride his bike because he has to wear a helmet, the next, we take of the training wheels and he's off! The picture doesn't even do justice to see the excitement on his face as he took off. He kept asking, "Are you proud of me?" And of coarse, "THAT WAS AWESOME!"

Sunday Fun Day!

Today we went to get our car washed. The boys loved watching all the cars come through.... especially the police car.

And off to the pool we went. Austin was so excited to show his dad all his new tricks and all the rules of the pool. (Since this was Eric's first time with us).

We had the pool almost to ourselves until about 4pm.
I took this from my I Phone, so the picture isn't so big, but you can still see Austin "Jumping" in. I'm so proud of him. He is doing so good with swimming, putting his head under and jumping in all by himself! We've come a long way....

Play to be Remembered....

Austin loves playing soccer. Today was picture day and the 2nd to last class at Soccer City before he moves onto the big soccer program that the South Bay offers once you hit a certain level and age. It's called AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization). Kids have to be put on a waiting list to get in this program. Lucky for Austin, I got him in starting in Sept. He's very excited, I'm sure he will do good, it will definitely challenge him and his skills, but I know if anyone can handle it--Austin can!G O A L!

Austin's two best buds, Ethan on his left and Gee on his right. Johnny is also his friend on the right of Gee. After the games on Friday they always go over to the field next store and practice for another 30 minutes. They are so fun to watch. Even Kain get's to go in with them, but he has to bring his own ball. :)

Austin was beaming to get in there with his foot on the ball. Kain was sitting next to me clapping for Austin. The photographer asked Kain if he wanted to get in there and get a picture with the ball and he became all shy...
Kain really likes going to Austin's games. He really does enjoy himself, clapping and kicking the ball around on the field next to Austin's.
All the parents go ga ga for Kain. He knows how to put on his charm.

Dad showed up to surprise Austin at his game, Austin was totally showing off for him!


At the end of the game the kids get stamps. Ethan on the left came out of the game because his stomach hurt, but told his parents he couldn't leave until the game was over. He wanted to make sure he received his stamp.
"WE LOVE SOCCER" the chant at the end of the game.
Our little lunch date today-I took the boys to Ruby's Diner in Palos Verdes for Lunch. They had fun stickering up their cars before our food arrived.
I love days like these. I love spending time with just the two of them.
