So today we waited for our car to be delivered. While Austin was at school, Kain pulled up his stool, grabbed his Vermillion County Sheriff flashlight and waited by the door. starring at the door, I must add. It was so cute. He was talking to the door, trying to say words such as his favorite, "bird", "bird" "Mama". He's too quick, I did not get it on video. But he sure is cute, isn't he! Don't let that little face fool ya--he's still our kook-a-roo!
And.. here it is. Our 2011 Honda Pilot. Austin says he would like to "keep this car" (Feew.. Thank goodness) we have his approval!
The car did not arrive until after Austin's school day, so yes, I did pick him up in the "old car". On the way home from school Austin kept asking me if I was sad to not drive this car anymore (the white one). I told him that I was excited to drive a new car. After thinking about it a while, he said he wasn't sad either. He wants to be in a new car too. He would say things like, This is the last time I will open the window and kick the seat. The best of all, " Mom, this car is so dirty, dad would be mad if he saw it" (Funny, Right) But the question kept coming up the entire drive home from school. "Are you going to miss this car, mom"? It's cute to see him trying to figure this all out. His little mind was going.......
Now you ask.. what in the world are we doing with 3 cars and no garage? Check this out. Eric's car is going to be parked in the carport, the white car, Eric will drive since we already payed for July, (why not run it to the last mile, right)? And the Pilot... well, I'll be driving that all around town, to the beach, through the McDonald's drive-thru, soccer practice, swim lessons, school, the gym and wherever else we need to drive. We will be sure to put it to good use.
Our very handy neighbor, who has a very inquiring mind gave us some fun facts I thought I could share with you tonight:
The Pilot is exactly 1 in shorter than the Mazda
The Pilot is 7 in. wider than the Mazda
The Pilot is 2 in. higher than the Mazda
Oh I can't remember the rest, but I do know the tape measure was all over the two cars. Funny! :)
As far as the inside... well, we are going to just leave that all to your imagination. If you want to see it- you'll have to come out and visit!! HINT HINT!
